Penang, 13 September 2026 – The Seremban City Council (MBS) achieved another significant milestone by receiving the 2026 Environmental Health PBAT Technical Audit Star Rating with a prestigious 5-Star achievement during the National Environmental Health Day Celebration 2026. More impressively, MBS was among only nine (9) Local Authorities (PBTs) nationwide that successfully obtained the 5-Star Environmental Health PBAT Rating this year. The recognition was presented by YB Datuk Hajah Aiman Athirah Binti Sabu, Deputy Minister of Housing and Local Government, during the National Environmental Health Day Celebration 2026 organized by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) in Kepala Batas, Penang. The event was held under the theme "MADANI Synergy – Sustainable Local Authorities, Harmonious Environment." The award was received by YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Ts. Haji Masri bin Baharuddin, Mayor of Seremban, at the prestigious ceremony. Also in attendance were Ir. Ts. Br. Mohd Kamal bin Mohd Yusof, MBS Secretary, Heads of Departments, and MBS officers. This achievement reflects the commitment and dedication of all MBS personnel in ensuring that environmental health management is implemented effectively, systematically, and continuously in order to create a clean, healthy, safe, and sustainable urban environment.
