Seremban, 29 August 2026 – The Merdeka Sculpture Competition, organised by the Neighbourhood Watch Committee (KRT) of Taman Matahari Indah, was successfully held in conjunction with the 2026 National Day Celebration. Notably, this was the third time the competition had been organised by KRT Taman Matahari Indah, with active participation from local residents. A total of five teams comprising neighbourhood residents took part in producing creative sculptures that highlighted themes of independence, patriotism, and the nation’s history. Initiatives such as this not only enliven the National Month celebrations but also serve as a platform to foster unity, cooperation, and goodwill among members of the community. The spirit of *gotong-royong* demonstrated throughout the activity further strengthened relationships among residents regardless of their background or age group. Congratulations and well done to Encik Mohd Faizul bin Kamaroszaman, Chairman of KRT Taman Matahari Indah, the committee members, and all residents who worked together to make the programme and its various activities a success. It is hoped that creative initiatives such as this will inspire other neighbourhood watch committees to organise similar community-based programmes in efforts to promote patriotism, strengthen unity, and enhance the spirit of neighbourhood togetherness.
