Seremban, 19 August 2026 – YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Ts. Haji Masri Baharuddin, Mayor of Seremban City Council (MBS), received a courtesy visit from the Negeri Sembilan Fisheries Department, led by its Director, Mr. Kasim Tawe. The purpose of the visit was to discuss and seek views on the proposed fish species suitable for recreational fishing activities at the Seremban Square Pond (Kolam Dataran Seremban). The discussion also focused on the suitability of fish species, fisheries resource management, and the sustainability of the pond’s ecosystem to ensure that this recreational facility can be enjoyed and utilized effectively by the residents of Seremban. The strategic collaboration between MBS, the Negeri Sembilan Fisheries Department, and the operator of Kolam Dataran Seremban, Zetaf Edar Enterprise, is expected to transform the pond into one of the city centre’s new recreational and leisure attractions. Also present were Mr. Ir. Ts. Br. Mohd Kamal Mohd Yusof, Secretary of MBS, Heads of MBS Departments and Units, as well as officers from the Negeri Sembilan Fisheries Department.
