Seremban, 21 January 2026 - The Seremban City Council has received a report regarding the issue of the Ramadan Bazaar and Aidilfitri Bazaar site renting at Senawang site which reached up to RM8,000.00 on the Senawang Facebook social site of Facebook. In response to this issue, YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Ts. Haji Masri bin Baharuddin, the Mayor of the Seremban City Council has held a meeting together with the organizers, merchants, media practitioners and complainers but the parties who issued the speculation were not present during the session. The Seremban City Council would like to deny the speculation on the social media and insist that MBS has put conditions regarding the payment rate for boxes according to size and location through an offer letter to the organizers. If the organizers fail to comply with the stipulated conditions, the permission to host the bazaar may be revoked/canceled and all payments made will not be refunded. The Seremban City Council will take legal action against any party that issues defamatory and fake statements. Therefore, MBS requests that the citizens of Seremban city who have strong complaints / evidence in relation to the matter, can submit directly to the Seremban City Council through SISPAA MBS or Respons Rakyat application. The meeting was also attended by representatives of DiRaja Malaysia Police and the Corruption Prevention Commission of Malaysia. The meeting that was held with the Mayor was from the request of the high-paid businessmen themselves. The Mayor is always open in discussions with the traders.
