Seremban, February 7, 2026 - YBhg. Dato' Ir.Ts. Haji Masri bin Baharuddin, Mayor of the Seremban City Council has attended the Cleaning Program of the Ampangan Market and the New Ampangan Town of the Serembang City Council on February 7, 2026 at the Ampangan market Parking Area this afternoon. The purpose of this program is to be held as a collective effort to preserve the cleanliness, health and quality of the environment in the market areas and business premises which become the pulse of the economy as well as a source of livelihood for the traders. A clean, orderly and safe environment not only provides comfort to the merchants, but can also increase the confidence of visitors and contribute to a more positive and livable image of the city. This program has been finalized by His Excellency Dato' Hajah Tengku Zamrah binti Tengku Sulaiman, Chairman of the Action Committee on Health, Unity, Enlightenment, National Integration and NGO entraping Members of the Assembly (ADUN) of Ampangan and getting cooperation from the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Negeri Sembilan, Solid Waste Management and Public Cleaning Corporation (SWCORP), UTC Management Ampangan and SWM Environment. Also present during the program are Mr. Abdul Malek bin Adam and Mr. Roslan bin Abd Aziz, MBS Council Member, Tn.Ir.Ts.Br . Mohd Kamal bin Mohd Yusof MBS Secretary, Department Heads and MBS Unit Heads. Seremban City Council is always committed in implementing initiatives which is responsible for the formation of clean, healthy and sustainable cities. Programs like this are hoped to cultivate a culture of cleanliness, cultivate a spirit of togetherness and reinforce a sense of responsibility towards a clean environment as a source of earning and building a life.
