Seremban, 11 August 2026 – Ir. Ts. Br. Mohd Kamal bin Mohd Yusof, Secretary of the Seremban City Council (MBS) and Deputy Commissioner of Buildings (COB) of MBS, officiated the opening ceremony of the **Strata Management Seminar (Series 1) 2026: Procedures for Annual General Meetings, Fundamentals of Annual Budget Preparation, and the Determination of Maintenance Charges for Strata Management Bodies**. The seminar was held at Bilik Waris Klana Di Hulu, Wisma MBS, on behalf of YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Ts. Haji Masri bin Baharuddin, Mayor of Seremban City Council. The seminar, organized by the Commissioner of Buildings (COB) Unit of Seremban City Council, was attended by 50 participants representing strata schemes under the administration of MBS. The seminar topics were delivered by experienced speakers, namely PMgr.Sr Che Adzhan bin Che Adnan, a Registered Property Manager, and Mr. Asokan Gopi, an Accountant and Financial Advisor from TransAsia Property Management Sdn. Bhd. The organization of this seminar reflects MBS’s ongoing commitment through its COB Unit to provide guidance on the proper conduct of annual general meetings in accordance with the Strata Management Act 2013 (Act 757), the importance of comprehensive annual financial planning, and the appropriate determination of maintenance charges to ensure effective management and maintenance of strata schemes. The Secretary of MBS expressed his hope that the knowledge and insights gained from the seminar would be effectively applied by all stakeholders to strengthen strata management governance and assist in addressing issues related to the management and maintenance of stratified properties. Seremban City Council extends its highest appreciation and gratitude to all participants who contributed to the success of the Strata Management Seminar (Series 1) 2026 through their attendance and active participation.
