Tenants should display their business licence in a clearly visible and accessible location during enforcement inspections, and the licence must not be laminated.
The time required to obtain a temporary permit for a local hawker site is at least 30 working days.
Hawkers are not allowed to place chairs or tables at the location, except at designated areas specifically approved for this purpose.
This is to ensure that hawkers operate their business at the designated location and that monitoring can be carried out by the Council.
The results will be available at least 30 working days from the date of the interview.
A notice of violation for not complying with the lease conditions will be issued. If the tenant continues to default, a compound action will be enforced.
A 14‑day show‑cause notice will be issued. If no reasonable response is given, a licence revocation and eviction notice will be issued within another 14 days. Seizure and cleaning actions may follow.
Interviews are conducted three (3) times a year.
This matter is subject to the offer letter and lease agreement that have been received and signed by both parties. Any violation of this provision may result in the issuance of notices, compounds, stall withdrawal, and seizure actions.
